Privacy Policy
Effective: September 6, 2026 · Version 1.0
Golden Egg: Can You Crack? is a tap-to-hatch idle game. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your data when you play it — most of which stays on your device and never reaches us at all.
1. Overview
Nembly Studio ("we," "us") makes Golden Egg: Can You Crack? ("the game," "the app"). We don't run our own backend servers for the game, and we don't ask you to create an account. Almost everything the game needs to remember — your egg's progress, your upgrades, and your in-game currency — is stored locally in the app's own storage on your device, using Apple's standard on-device storage APIs, and is never transmitted anywhere by us.
Where the game does touch a wider service — Apple Game Center, the App Store's purchase system, an advertising network — that service is named specifically below, along with what it sees.
2. What we collect
The table below is the complete list. If something isn't in it, we don't collect it.
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress | Save your egg, upgrades, and settings between sessions | Stays on your device only |
| Game Center identity & scores | Leaderboards and achievements | Apple's Game Center — governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not seen by us |
| Purchase records | Unlock what you bought (in-game items, Remove Ads, Swipe Mode) | Processed entirely by Apple's App Store; we never see your card details |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA) | Show you an ad in exchange for an in-game reward, and — only with your permission — make that ad more relevant | Our advertising partner, only after you allow tracking when asked |
| Watch ↔ iPhone tap data | Sync taps between your Apple Watch and iPhone | Travels directly between your own two devices via Apple's WatchConnectivity — never through us or any server |
We may also collect basic, aggregated usage statistics (for example, how many players reach a given milestone) to understand how the game is played and to fix problems. These statistics are not tied to your name, email, or any other way of identifying you personally.
3. What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, or photos. We don't access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone — the game has no use for any of them and never requests permission for them. We don't operate a login system, so there's no password of ours to leak.
4. Advertising and tracking
Golden Egg offers a "Watch Ad" button that rewards you with in-game items for viewing a short video ad. To show ads and, where relevant, make them more relevant to you, we work with third-party advertising partners.
App Tracking Transparency
The first time an ad is about to be shown, iOS will ask whether Golden Egg can track you across other companies' apps and websites (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier may be used to personalise the ads you see. If you decline, you'll still see ads — just not personalised ones — and nothing else about the game changes.
You can review or change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.
Our advertising network will be named here, along with a link to its own privacy policy, before this build ships to the App Store.
5. Third-party services
Golden Egg relies on a short list of services, each covered by its own privacy policy:
- Apple Game Center — leaderboards, achievements, and player authentication, entirely Apple's own system.
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases, processed by the App Store.
- Apple WatchConnectivity — direct, local sync between your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Advertising network(s) — rewarded video ads, named in section 4 once finalised.
We don't sell your data to anyone, because we don't hold any to sell — what little leaves your device goes directly to the specific service that needs it, for the specific purpose described above.
6. Children's privacy
Golden Egg is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details in section 10 and we'll remove it.
7. Your data, your control
- Delete your local progress by deleting the app — since it's stored only on your device, nothing remains anywhere once it's gone.
- Manage Game Center data through your Apple ID account settings, directly with Apple.
- Review or restore purchases through the App Store's own purchase history.
- Turn tracking on or off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or Norway, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven). Because almost all data stays on your own device, most of these rights are exercisable directly there. For anything else, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in Norway, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
8. Security
Because your game data lives on your device rather than on a server we run, there is no central database of player data for us to secure or that could be breached. Data that does leave your device — purchases, Game Center scores, advertising identifiers — is handled under Apple's and our advertising partners' own security practices.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change what the game collects or who it's shared with — most likely when we finalise our advertising partner — we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. We'll call out material changes inside the app itself when they affect you directly.
